We all have treasured memories from childhood involving the outdoors. From watching ladybugs crawl in the grass to jumping into a pile of just-raked leaves in the fall, nature plays an important role in the lives of children. Unfortunately, in today’s day and age children are spending less time outside than ever before. Planting a garden with children is a wonderful way to encourage students to get outside and experience all that nature has to offer. Don’t be intimidated or overwhelmed with the idea of starting a class garden. It’s easier and more rewarding than you think!
