Example:
Task:
Children will show their understanding of number correspondence with numbers 1-5.
Condition:
A small group will be chosen to work with the teacher at the small group table. 5 cards with one number on each card will be placed in a tray with a bowl of pine cones that the children collected when they were outside. Teacher will help the children practice this activity on day one.
Proficiency:
On day two the activity will be available on the table during learning center time. Children will show proficiency by independently choosing this activity and correctly matching the correct number of pine cones with the correct number card.
