My favorite fairy tale as a child was the Three Billy Goats Gruff. There was a park in my neighborhood with an incredible scene from the fairy tale that made it come to life for me. Add the goats and the troll under the bridge and it became so interesting!

I always really enjoyed the story of goldielocks. I think part of that was that I had long blonde hair as a child and I saw myself in the little girl. Also the setting was a house which playing house was one of my favorite games. It was easy to convince my younger brother and younger sister to be 2 of the 3 bears and have a stuffed animal be the third.

My favorite Fairytale is Jack in the Bean Stalk. I think because it showed how brave Jack was to take a chance for his family to live a better life. But with the greed sometimes it overtakes us. I wasn't as brave as a child, didn't take chances but liked being apart of the kids that did.

Sleeping beauty was my favorite. I loved how a little "poor" girl could grow up in the middle of no where and be a princess.

Cinderella is my favorite fairy tale. I love how her fairy godmother looked out for her and gave her a chance to go to the ball which then allowed her to meet the prince and end up marrying him, which then showed her step mom and step sisters that in the end good will prevail. There was always a nagical feeling seeing her transformed and as a child our amusement park had a pumpkin carriage ride with Cinderella which allowed you to feel like a princess as you talked with her!

My favorite fairy tale is Disney's Aladdin. I remember going around the playground and pretending that I was the Genie and granting people 3 wishes. Oh and that I had a pet tiger. What made it my favorite is that there was a Genie that would grant people wishes and Aladdin decided that his last wish would be unselfish and make the Genie free.

I do not seem to recall a favourite but just loved all the tales and stories in general. I especially loved ones with princesses or would be princesses though. Sleeping Beauty , Cinderella, Princess and the Pea, Snow White etc. I think it was where they lived or potentially would live that I liked to imagine about. Castles! I have always and still do love castles.

Snow White was one of my favorite fairytales - for me it had the right mixture of contrasts and life changes. It was scary in parts, but things turned around magically in the end. Red Riding Hood was also one of my favorites - I loved the imagery of the forest and the courage of the main character.

I loved Aladdin because of the songs and also because it shows true love. They still ended up together even if the social norm thought they shouldn't be because of their social class. Love is love!

Mine was Little Red Riding Hood I just love that even though she got distracted along the way to grandmothers house she was able to over come the wolf in the end and learned a valuable lesson

My favorite fairy tales from childhood were Hansel and Gretel, Rumpelstiltskin, and Little Red Riding Hood. To be honest I was always fond of the villains in fairy tales, I enjoyed their plans and schemes.

I love all fairy tales. I have a large book of Chinese fairy tales and a collection by Hans Christen Anderson - but if I had to chose a favorite it would have to be the Ugly Duckling. Gave hope to a young awkward girl growing up.

I loved my copy of Little Red Riding Hood. I read it over and over until the book fell apart. I also enjoyed The Little Mermaid although I was very sad that she died in the end and became a spirit. Not the Disney version.

Probably Cinderella ...I could associate with not being the prettiest or having the best dress...and I always rooted for the underdog lol and she won the prince in this story!

I suppose one of my favorites is Cinderella, probably because it is one of the first I recall hearing. Good triumphs over evil, kindness over selfishness and such. I also love the illustrations of the older books.

I always loved Cinderella. I loved how she was transformed by the mice into a beautiful queen and found her prince charming. Beginning of story was full of struggles, but of course they lived happily every after.

Two come to mind! 1. Cinderella has, and always will be my favourite fairytale of all time! It was her inner beauty and depth of character that inspired me as a child and adult to be kind and gentle to others, even when it is not always reciprocated. She has a deep inner strength too (she's an orphan who is now being look after by a new step-mother who is the complete opposite of what her real mother was like). Cinderella is a dreamer, which is something I resonate with, and she gave me hope as a girl that I didn't need royalty and money to make it to a ball. I just needed courage, patience, (and a maybe a fairy godmother). 2. The second book was a trilogy my mother read me as child called 'The Faraway Tree' by Enid Blyton. I adored the mythical characters that we met as the lead three children go up the mystical Faraway Tree. Moonface, Silky and the Saucepan Man were my favourite. There weren't many pictures in this book, so I was allowed to create their characters totally from scratch which my creative side LOVED! They are still very real to me, even to this day! And I loved the element of surprise in these books as there was a different land at the top of the tree every chapter, where I was able to imagine a whole new environment and setting every night! Whether they were in 'The Land of Take What You Want' or 'The Land of Birthdays', my imagination went wild with excitement about what it would be like in those new worlds!

Cinderella is probably the one that was most recognizable to me. I once dressed up as Cinderella (pre god mother make over) for Halloween. As someone who grew up with nothing, it was a nice concept that something magical could come and make all that disappear. The part I remembered most is that the magic is always broken for reality.

My favorite fairy tale has always been Cinderella, because I felt bad for the girl in the story, she was so kind and caring and the evil stepmother and sisters were so mean to her. I wanted to see her live a happy life.

I love Rapunzel as a kid. She had long red hair just like I did. I didn't like, however, that she ended up without her parents like so many other fairytale and Disney characters. I understand that the goal is to have children on their own having adventures, but there are other ways to do that.

My favorite fairytale as a child was Beauty and the Beast. I fell in love with it through the Disney movie and was captivated by it for a long time. I saw myself in the bookish main character, I dreamed of the yellow dress, and I memorized every song. Eventually, I started looking for different versions in the library but I never liked any of them as much as the one I'd started on

This may sound odd but I distinctly remember being absolutely OBSESSED with Hunchback of Notre Dame (both Disney's and Victor Hugo's) when I was a kid. I don't know why it caught my fancy but in elementary school I checked out every single book I could find on the story and where it originated and different versions of it that have cropped up. I still love it. I think it has something to do with the idea of real people being flawed and that's okay. Also Disney's version always taught me not to judge a book by its cover which is an important lesson too.

My favorite fairy tales were from the Grimm's collection. There were various an many stories where the main characters were animals and the choices and challenges eventually took them to a moral conclusion. They were not always your usual Cinderella or Robin Hood stories.
