Signs of burnout are similar to stress just more extreme. For example, instead of feeling tired the person would be constantly fatigued. Instead of an upset stomach, it might be panic attacks.

My signs are usually headaches and frustration. Not many see my burn outs because I am really good about hiding it. Once I'm off work is when I deal with it.

Stress is occasional tiredness and irritability. Burnout is constant and long term exhaustion and you are irritable to your co-workers, the children in your classroom and your family at home/

When I get burnout at work. My heart palpitations will go faster that it normally do. I feel tingling on my skin, anger, depressed, tired, body pain and feeling of detachment.

Stress is treatable, but when it comes to burnout. This thing is unpredictable because you will never know when its coming.

Burnout is similar to symptoms of stress, but it is more extreme. People who are experiencing burnout feel exhausted and are quick to anger. They feel a sense of hopelessness about the future. They may be anxious or depressed and have trouble sleeping.

Signs of burnout are: withdrawal, exhaustion depression, physical ailment, negativity and anger. These signs are more extreme than stress signs. Stress sings, can be fixed by some self-care like going to bed earlier, talking to a trusted person, changing eating habits where burnout may require something more like, seeing a mental and physical doctor.

Burnout is beyond stress. It’s hopeless, feeling not worthy or valued. Fatigue beyond needing sleep. Panicky, no direction. Irritable, short with everyone not just co workers, tears without cause. Then anger frustration and no reason for it. The days feel intolerable. Stress is manageable. A break or weekend can help stress.

Stress is something that you can experience today and maybe not tomorrow or the next day. You can usually get past it with a long weekend. Burnout is all consuming fatigue. You are so tired you can't sleep, your body hurts; you just want to be somewhere else.

Withdrawal, negativity and exhaustion. Stress is more of a temporary thing, burnout completely envelops you almost as if you are drowning and cannot get above water. It feels as if the only way to survive it is to give up and not care or quit immediately to get away from the situation. Kind of like fight, freeze or flight.
