I will use yoga in my classroom in circle time to change up the movement portion of my circle. The breathing techniques will be the most useful in the classroom and will be very helpful in many aspects.

I will use the breathing techniques with the children I teach. I think this would be a great start to get us settled into circle time. Perhaps a quick breathing and yoga poses will work to get kids settled in for nap as well.

I already use the breathing method on a child that has special needs.I now feel like it would help many of the kids that are feeling a little stressed or that need to just center them selfs and slow down a little.

I will use the breathing exercises in my classroom with all of my children. I have a couple that are ADHD and find that this will be a very helpful tool in helping them calm down.

In my work program, we have used the breathing in and out when they feel overwhelmed or stressed. This technique has been working well but we will incorporate the new techniques that I watched on the class video and other resources.

I am so excited to teach different breathing techniques to my kids. This will help them calming down as well as focus. I would also love to teach them different yoga poses which will help them in concentration, strength and flexibility.

I am excited to incorporate Yoga. teaching the different breathing techniques to support classroom problem solving, using the silly pose names to make it fun and to encourage health and body awareness in different ways as part of our My Body curriculum. Teaching children self awareness and positive self talk through Yoga

I will use the breathing exercises to calm the class or an individual. I'm excited to use yoga to help kiddo when they are angry and have a hard time expressing themselves.

I like to have the kids start the day with yoga. They release all the outside energy and calm down to get ready for school energy. It also helps many of my children who hit to calm down and take a break.

We will use yoga as a transition from outdoor to indoor play. It will be a good way to refocus the kids and we will start with some breathing exercises before we go into the poses.

I use breathing exercises to help kids calm their body and mind. This especially helps when a child has a lot of energy or is very almost uncontrollably upset.

On Wednesdays we have yoga in class for about 15 minutes and I start off with breathing exercises. I would like to add the flower breath this week.
When the children get hurt or feel upset, I have them take deep breaths to calm their bodies and it is very useful. After a few deep breaths they are able to communicate their feelings and what happened. The breathing helps them recollect their thoughts and translate feelings to words.

I will use the different breathing techniques when transitioning to different activities. Especially when we line up, I need something for the kids to focus on and focusing on breathing will help calm and reorient the kids in my class.

I currently use the breathing in my class. I use it for transition or as recommended I use when a child is having a challenging time or needs to take a minute to gather themselves back together. Sometimes I use the movements after quiet time in our class. It also makes a great transition to the next thing. I did like the five moves that the video showed. I liked the sequence and will be implementing that into our yoga moves. It has a nice smooth flow.

My group of kids are extremely active and over half boys, I will start using yoga slowly. I really like the breathing tips and will be using that for transitions.

I like to use breathing techniques to calm and slow down children in the classroom. I enjoyed learning the flower, hissing, bear and bunny breathing and will find opportunities to use these. I also plan to use some of the yoga poses and routines in the morning and before pick up for transitioning in and out of our day together in the classroom.

I will use yoga in the classroom to transition from work time into circle time. I will stop and ring a peaceful chime, bringing attention to the class. Then we will practice one of the four breathing techniques (flower, hissing, bear, rabbit) to gain everyone's attention, and calm our voices and body before cleaning up to come to group. This will help deescalate the energy in the room and help the kids focus on cleaning up and coming to circle. I also would like to try the rabbit breath with kids that are upset.I l think these breathing strategies will help during transition times. I will also try them transitioning from recess to inside time.

The breathing techniques are useful throughout the day as way to help children relax and self-regulate. The 5 yoga poses would be fun to try when we are unable to get out as long in winter time.

We have a yoga teacher come in on Mondays after breakfast. However, the teacher is new and has a hard time finding a balance between calming yoga and keeping the children engaged. I would like to be able to incorporate a few yoga poses into circle time for both a gross motor break and a calming/refocusing element. We also utilize breathing techniques for self-regulation. We use the Concious Discipline breathing techniques, but I look forward to incorporating the flower and bunny breath as well.

I will use the breathing techniques in my classroom in circle time to calm the children down for transitioning from recess time to work time. I think the flower breathing lesson is charming and a good and tangible way to introduce controlling the breath and becoming focused before choosing work.

1. The breathing techniques may be hard to explain to younger children, however our 4 and 5 year old kids could benefit from them when they encounter a stressful or upsetting situation.
2. Some of our younger kids are really coordinated. I wouldn't hesitate to introduce some simple motions. The older kids would love the floor movements.

3. On the whole, having a calming release mechanism would be great, especially on cabin fever days.

Breathing techniques - i love this idea especially sense they can be described as animals or fun ways. Like bear or bunny breaths! The kids will love that!

We have a book called "Breathing with bear" which I love to use. The video showed breathing ideas from the book. We also do candle breathing, elephant listening and other great breathing exercises! As a teacher, I appreciate the breathing time and the kids love the challenges.

Because yoga breathing can be such a calming and centering practice, I can see using it at circle time when the children need to be quiet, or at lunch time when they are getting to riled up (without food in their mouth!). I can also see using yoga poses to both calm the children down, but, depending on the pose, loosen the children up before we run around.

I was a yoga teacher , when l was in my country . I know how useful it is ,so practice techniques breathing that should calm down the children in the classroom .yoga is slow - cost , helpful tools that can have positive impact on children.Develop body awareness. Learning how to use their bodies in a healthy way .Buld concentration. Yoga promotes physical strength because kids learn to use their muscles in new ways .balence poses can help to improve stance to help keep children safe. Children should keep their movements slow and avoid forcing poses or extended stretches

I use yoga breathing to calm them down at the end of the day or beginning of circle time. Then we close our eyes and play the game of silence where the children are quite and tell us what they heard.

Right before lunch will be a good time to use yoga. It will calm them down from play time to eat and then it is quiet time. I think that will be good transition to use.

We will use yoga postures and breathing techniques in a playful pantomime of assorted animal - cat, cow, downward dog, etc. hiss like a snake, breathe like a bunny, etc. this will help children be present and body aware, become calm and focused, and use muscles. We will just have fun doing it.

We do Yoga in many form. I have never thought of adding hands on tools. We will adopt the flower breathing technique and the straw, hopefully we will come up with more too.

I think this is a new idea for most kids and they would enjoy in quiet time circle learning some of the breathing positions. I think it would help to quiet and calm them. Maybe they would even take what they learned home and teach their family.
