a) Dramatic play materials and activities are available for children daily
The Gingerbread Man (any version will work)
cooking utensils (measuring cups, whisks, etc.)

Set out the dramatic play materials in the center
Read The Gingerbread Man with students, stopping periodically to discuss the story.
Invite students to reenact what happened in the story in the dramatic play center
Observe and record the student’s retelling skills. What parts of the story were they able to act out? Did they miss any parts?
