"Okay, but how do I get kids to stop biting?"
-Keri There is no magic wand solution to infant and toddler biting. If there were, it would have been the first sentence of the first page in this course. The bottom line is that biting is developmentally typical for infants and toddlers. It is going to happen and it is important to be aware of what causes it and the things you can do to help curb it.

"Parents get really mad about biting. How can we help them understand it's normal?"
-Libby You must do exactly that: help them understand that it is normal! If you have some helpful information to put in a newsletter that is a good start. Other than that it really is as simple as having a conversation with them. Let them know that it's not a behavior that you just "allow to happen" but instead it is normal behavior that most children do. Explain the steps that your center takes to avoid and react to biting.
