a) Facilitates children’s thinking and creative problem-solving skills
Encourage students to create Rapunzel using construction paper, scissors and glue. Instruct them to use the yarn for her hair. Students can make her hair as long or short as they desire.
When dry, ask students to measure the length of the hair using small manipulative cubes.
Assessment: Observe and record the child’s measuring abilities. Were they able to line the cubes up and count to correctly measure?
