Exploring the Magic of Harry Potter |
Page 8 |
While Harry’s story is fictional, it can teach its readers some importance lessons on friendship. During his first year at Hogwarts, Harry befriends Ron Weasley, a freckle-faced boy who comes from a large family of redheaded wizards and witches and Hermione, a bossy bookworm who ends up being the voice of reason the majority of the time. Over the course of their years together, the trio endures bullies, exams, Dementors, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, and of course, puberty.
During his adventures at school, Harry and his friends go through their fair share of conflict and trials. However, the books model humility and forgiveness when it comes to companionship.
Harry would not have survived without the many diverse friendships he established in all seven books.
